Portage Park Chamber of Commerce Named Sole Service Provider for SSA 2

The Portage Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that, effective January 1, 2026, we have been designated the Sole Service Provider for Special Service Area (SSA) 2, serving the Belmont-Central Shopping and Business District.

This new role marks an exciting milestone for the Chamber and for the Belmont-Cragin community. As Sole Service Provider, the Portage Park Chamber of Commerce will work closely with local stakeholders to support economic vitality, enhance the district’s appearance, and promote businesses throughout the Belmont-Central corridor. Our goal is to build on the area’s strengths while fostering a welcoming, vibrant environment for shoppers, residents, and business owners alike.

This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to neighborhood-based economic development and effective SSA management. The Chamber brings proven experience to SSA 2, having served as the Sole Service Provider for SSA 28-2014 (Six Corners) since July 2023. Through that work, we have supported district improvements, business promotion, and community engagement initiatives designed to strengthen one of Chicago’s most iconic commercial districts.
